Taz shares some heartbreaking news.
After Powerhouse Hobbs attacked Ricky Starks on the July 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, Taz has declared that Team Taz is no more. Taz made the announcement from the commentary desk just moments before Powerhouse Hobbs had a squash match on this week's Dynamite. Taz wished the best to Hobbs, Ricky Starks, and his own son, the FTW Champion, HOOK.
Moments after Hobbs defeated an enhancement talent, Ricky Starks rushed to the ring and brawled with Hobbs.

Hobbs and Taz have been members of Team Taz since November 2020. Recently, the duo were in two high profile AEW World Tag Team Championship bouts, but they ultimately came up short in both matches.
After the August 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Taz commented on the news by thanking fans for supporting the group. He also noted that HOOK, Starks and Hobbs were informed about the announcement ahead of time on Wednesday. The veteran expressed his confidence that all three men will shine moving forward.
Thank you to all of you who supported Team Taz throughout our journey as a cohesive unit. Had to give closure for the AEW audience. All 3 men were informed this was going to happen tonight. I truly feel, HOOK, Hobbs & Starks will all flourish in their own way going forward. FTW.

In another tweet, Taz stated that the group had ups and downs, but the good times outweighed the bad. He made it clear that the experience was a lot of fun, and he thanked the members of the stable.
Last thing I’d like to say is, we have had a lot of ups & downs with our group but in my opinion we had more good times than bad! It really was a lot of fun and I want to give a huge THANK YOU to the guys….@730hook @starkmanjones @TrueWillieHobbs @briancagegmsi
