A rough 2018 for Tenille.
In what appeared to be a breakout year for Tenille Dashwood was actually filled with many trials and tribulations for the Women Of Honor division star. Tenille revealed a month ago that she suffers from a skin condition that she's been dealing with since her teen years and the disease was something that she was not comfortable sharing with the world until recently which is why she pulled out of Ring Of Honor's tour of the United Kingdom last month.
Last night at ROH's 'Death Before Dishonor XVI' PPV, Tenille challenged Sumie Sakai for the Women Of Honor Championship but came up short in her endeavor to capture championship gold. After the match was over an angle was shot backstage where Tenille was attacked but there was no one else on the scene but Tenille, ROH officials and personnel. Dashwood was holding her shoulder in the angle but this was done to write her off of television as she announced tonight at the ROH TV tapings in front of the Las Vegas crowd that she will be taking time off because for the majority of 2018 she has been dealing with her skin condition, an autoimmune disease and a nagging shoulder injury that she is getting taken care of. PWInsider followed up on this announcement and noted that the injury and the surgery news is legitimate and that Dashwood has pulled out of several dates this year to rest her shoulder.
*UPDATE*
PWInsider is reporting that Tenille Dashwood has been offered a contract with Ring Of Honor and is expected to sign with the company despite having to take time off to deal with her injuries.
