Terry Crews: If Not For A Couple Of Auditions, I Probably Would Have Been A Professional Wrestler

Terry Crews says he almost became a wrestler.

Terry Crews had a successful career as a football player and transitioned into the world of acting quite nicely. However, Crews says that if it wasn't for a couple of auditions, there's a good chance he would have become a professional wrestler.

Crews revealed to WWE's Cathy Kelley during a red carpet prior to the premiere of The Killer's Game starring Dave Bautista and Drew McIntyre that he has a great deal of respect for WWE wrestlers.

"[Dave Bautista and Drew McIntyre] stole the movie in a lot of ways. It was incredible. If it were not for a couple of auditions, I probably would have been a professional wrestler, but I just happened to be an actor first," he said. "Let me tell you, it's the same thing. The discipline is the same, the artistry is the same, the creativity is the same. I have nothing but respect for what they do, and when I look at me and Dave as former athletes in this business, we understand how rare it is that we're here."

Terry Crews appeared in WCW as T-Money in 2000 as part of a crossover with the reality show Battle Dome. Learn more about that here.
