Tessa Blanchard gives an update on where she's been.
Blanchard has been out of the spotlight since the pandemic when she became the IMPACT World Champion at Hard To Kill 2020. Since then, Blanchard departed IMPACT and was stripped of the IMPACT World Title, has allegedly bullied others and made racist comments (she denied the allegations), and had a falling out with WOW Women of Wrestling after being announced as one of the faces of the company for the new season.
Speaking to Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, Blanchard was asked what she's been up to lately.
"I kind of do that on purpose," she said when it was noted she has been secretive in her moves. "I like to keep some things for me, some things for my family. Right now, I'm in school, which is my main focus. That's my main focus right now. I try to do one or two of the wrestling get-togethers or matches a month. Honestly, not too much more than that at the moment."
Blanchard noted she's attending the University of Texas, San Antonio and studying International Affairs.
When asked about taking independent dates and how she chooses which dates to take, Blanchard said, "Doing whatever makes me feel happy. That's really my main focus right now. My happiness. I don't want to compromise my happiness for anything. Not for money, not for popularity, not for followers, not for any of that."
Blanchard had wrestled for PPW and Hurricane Pro in 2022.
