Tessa Blanchard Says She Was Heart Broken When She Wasn't Signed By WWE

Tessa Blanchard wanted to be in WWE but now sees where the rejection led her life.

The twenty-two year old wrestler Tessa Blanchard spoke with Busted Open Radio about the early stages of her career. She began training at the age of eighteen and pretty quickly was at a tryout for WWE but did not get the result she initially wanted.

"After my WWE tryout in 2014, I was like 'alright, I'm getting signed. I'm going to be there. I'm ready, lets do this. It's happening. Everything is happening right now.' When it didn't happen I was heart broken. I think it's because God had a plan for me. If I would have gone and they would have signed me right away, I don't think I would have had the life experiences or the experiences in wrestling," said Blanchard.

At the Mae Young Classic, Blanchard was defeated in the first round by Kairi Sane and she said she saw speculation online about her having a bad attitude. Blanchard said some people approach her with pre-conceived notions about her attitude because of her family's history in professional wrestling.

Since her tryout at WWE, Blanchard has wrestled in independent wrestling promotions around the world and is featured currently on the weekly Impact Wrestling show. She has a match against Madison Rayne at the Under Pressure event on Thursday.
