Thea Hail Misses Class, Bron Breakker Confronts Baron Corbin, Dijak Beats Thorpe | NXT Fight Size

Here's your Fight Size update following WWE NXT on August 29, 2023.

- Thea Hail was missing from class at Chase U. Andre Chase brought up Duke Hudson competing in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational. Hail walked in and talked back to Andre Chase. Hudson led her away, and Hail ditched Hudson. She walked away with Jacy Jayne.

Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII: Josh Alexander vs. Mike Bailey Result

- Bron Breakker approached Baron Corbin backstage and warned him not to get involved in his match with Von Wagner. Corbin said he didn’t care about either of them. Breakker again warned him that it would the end of days if he got involved.

- Dijak took the fight to Eddy Thorpe during his entrance ahead of their match. They brawled and eventually made their way into the ring. Dijak threw Thorpe into an office chair at ringside. He got a chair, but Thorpe evaded it. Dijak then hit Thorpe with a loaded right hand and kicked him for the win.

- The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) defeated The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler) in a Steel Cage Match. Schism attacked the Creed Brothers before the bell and carried Brutus away. Brutus made his way back to the ring, and The Creed Brothers emerged victorious. As a result, they earned the right to be reinstated to NXT.

- An on-screen graphic honored Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt, who passed away the previous week.

- The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) appeared and spoke with NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and NXT Tag Team Champions The Family (Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo).

- Kiana James defeated Gigi Dolin, Blair Davenport, and Roxanne Perez to earn a shot at the NXT Women's Championship. NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton confronted her after the match.

- Charlie Dempsey faced Butch in a Global Heritage Invitational match. Butch scored the win in a hard-fought match.

- Joe Coffey defeated Nathan Frazer in an NXT Global Heritage Invitational match. Check out the standings here.

- Ilja Dragunov commented on his loss to Trick Williams and said Trick impressed him. He then set his sights on NXT Champion Wes Lee. Noam Dar and the rest of Meta Four interrupted. Oro Mensah interrupted Dar and challenged Dragunov to a match.

- Humberto Carrillo met up with Angel Garza. They revealed that they both had scars after they had weird dreams. The duo made it clear that they would start fresh and aim to honor the legacy of their families. Their return was announced for the September 5 episode of WWE NXT.

- A video package honored Bray Wyatt. Wyatt’s theme song played, and his empty rocking chair was shown on the stage.

- Von Wagner sent a message to Bron Breakker and challenged Breakker to a No Disqualification Match.

- Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez faced Dana Brooke and Kelani Jordan. Vice and Lopez scored the win and gained more momentum. Brooke was clearly frustrated after the match.

- A video package hyped up the NXT Global Heritage Invitational.

- In an interview, Dragon Lee made it clear that he wanted another shot at the NXT North American Championship. Mustafa Ali interrupted and told him he already lost to the champion, Dominik Mysterio. Ali said Dragon Lee struck out, and now he’s up to bat.

- Rhea Ripley claimed that Dominik Mysterio would hold the NXT North American Championship for life. Dominik encouraged Dragon Lee and Mustafa Ali to fight for a title shot at WWE NXT. He said he would be the special guest referee. The match was confirmed for the September 5 episode of WWE NXT.

- Trick Williams approached NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, and tensions rose as Hayes questioned his ability to beat Ilja Dragunov.

- NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes knocked on Shawn Michaels’ door, and the show ended and told him they needed to talk.

- The NXT Anonymous showed Fallon Henley talking to Myles Borne. He agreed to team up with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.

- Wes Lee posted a message on social media and made it clear that he intended to get another shot at the NXT Championship.

- Tyler Bate looked forward to a potential rematch with Butch, and he challenged Dabba-Kato to face him.

- In a Digital Exclusive, Eddy Thorpe made it clear that his rivalry with Dijak was far from over.

- Dijak paid tribute to Bray Wyatt.

- NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes said he and Trick Williams were fine.
