Wes Lee could have taken a bye into the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match at Halloween havoc but that is not his style. Wes Lee wanted to earn his way into the match and he did by defeating Tony D’Angelo, but not the way he would have wanted to.

Unfortunately, in the match on September 27, Tony suffered an apparent knee injury that forced the match to be stopped and ruled in favor of Wes Lee, no specific information was given regarding D'Angelo's injury.

Now, Wes, who was supposed to face Carmelo Hayes on September 13 before being attacked by Hayes and Trent Williams has the opportunity to earn the NXT North American championship in a ladder match. He will be joined by the aforementioned Carmelo Hayes and Oro Mensah.
