If two matches and four falls weren't enough for you, you're in luck. NXT Champion Adam Cole will defend his championship against Johnny Gargano at NXT Takeover: Toronto II during Summerslam weekend. The match will be a two out of three falls contest.
There's a bit of a twist to this one, as announced by NXT General Manager William Regal. Each Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole will pick a stipulation for a fall, with Regal announcing a third if necessary. This effectively makes the match a "Three Stages Of Hell" contest, which has only been seen once in the last decade in WWE. It's worth noting that the "Three Stages Of Hell" term wasn't used in an official capacity by WWE in announcing this match.
Gargano defeated Cole in April at NXT Takeover New York to become NXT Champion in a 2 out of 3 falls match, but would lose the championship to Cole just under two months later at NXT Takeover XXV.
NXT "Takeover: Toronto II" will take place on Saturday, August 10 from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during WWE SummerSlam weekend. Fightful will have a presence at the week's festivities.
