Tom Aspinall wants to team up with 'The American Nightmare'.
Aspinall is currently enjoying a reign as the Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion. As of publish time, the champion hasn't fought since July 2024, but a potential fight against Jon Jones is seemingly looming in the background.
While speaking with The Schmo for a new interview, Aspinall said that appearing in WWE is a part of his retirement plan before also stating that he wants to team with Cody Rhodes against John Cena and Jon Jones.
“No, that’s for when I’ve retired, that’s my retirement plan. Cody Rhodes is my guy. Me and Cody, we’ll have a match one day. I think we might team up, me and Cody Rhodes because we’re both babyfaces, aren’t we? Maybe we could fight Jon Jones and whoever the heel is over there. Who’s the main heel, John Cena just turned heel. Cody Rhodes and Tom Aspinall tag team versus Jon Jones and John Cena, baby faces versus heels. Big matchup.”
Aspinall appeared at a WWE live event in October 2024. Learn more by clicking here.
Cody Rhodes and John Cena are set to appear on Monday's edition of WWE Raw. Check out the current lineup for the show here.
