Mariah May beat Toni Storm to win the AEW Women's World Championship at AEW All In. The event marked a homecoming for May, as she is originally from England. During AEW All In, AEW announced that they would hold AEW Grand Slam Australia in Brisbane, Australia, on February 15th. This would be a homecoming for Storm, as she was raised in Australia.

Speaking on Sportscenter Australia, Toni Storm was asked about losing the AEW Women's World Championship to Mariah May at AEW All In and possibly getting a rematch at AEW Grand Slam: Australia.

"I hope that’s the case. I hope I get my rematch here against Mariah May. We did this on her turf last time in Wembley in London. I think it’s time to bring it home for me. I think it’s time to get back to Brisbane and beat the ever-loving crap out of her in front of all my family and friends and make my country proud," Storm said.
