Toni Storm Was Contacted By ROH For Supercard Of Honor Following WWE Departure

Toni Storm requested her WWE release on December 29, leaving the company after a live event. The release request was granted and after her 90-day non-compete expired, she made her AEW debut on March 30.

Though Storm was quickly signed by AEW following her non-compete expiring, she was contacted by other promotions during her waiting period.

"I was contacted to do Ring of Honor, WrestleMania weekend, before Tony Khan bought that," Storm said on The Sessions with Renee Paquette. "When I was contacted about that, the thought of me wrestling again, I was like, 'Oh, hey, I'd like to do that.' I got really excited again and I hadn't felt that in a while. Something clicked. [I still love this], I do, of course I do. It's the best job in the world. It shouldn't be misery."

Tony Khan announced he purchased Ring of Honor on March 2 during AEW Dynamite. Storm was not part of ROH Supercard of Honor.

Storm previously expressed her frustrations with WWE and her unhappiness. You can read her comments by clicking here.

Speaking about her AEW debut, Storm said, "That was a trip, wasn't it? I didn't really have much notice, going into that, it was kind of a last minute thing. I had no idea what the future had for me. I didn't know if I was going to get a job. I had no idea what was next. Then, I get a call last second, after my 90 days were up. 'Yeah, okay, I'll be there, see you soon.' [laughs]."

She was victorious over The Bunny in her AEW debut.

Storm recently competed in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, but lost to Britt Baker in the semifinals. She is set to compete on Tuesday's AEW Dark.
