Tony Kahn Has Talked To NFL Players About Appearing In AEW, Thinks Fred Taylor Would Be A Force

Tony Khan is open to bringing more NFL flavor to AEW.

Fans have seen the NFL and AEW crossover throughout the years as Khan is part of the Jacksonville Jaguars front office. Jaguars mascot Jaxson Deville has taken a Judas Effect and former Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer made a cameo in Stadium Stampede.

Tony Khan Says He Wanted To Sign Bandido When AEW First Launched

Speaking to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Khan said he is asked all the time by NFL players about AEW.

"It's so funny you asked. I actually have had some of that, there have been some that have called and asked that. I just recently was talking to Fred Taylor about it, I think he'd be a force in the ring. He's still in great shape. He's one of the all-time great Jaguars players and I think he belongs in the Hall of Fame. There have only been two players in the history of the NFL to carry the ball over 2500 times and average over 4.6 yards per carry, it's Barry Sanders and Fred Taylor. I really believe in Fred and think he would be a great candidate for the Hall of Fame, especially now that the Jaguars have our first ever player in the Hall of Fame in Tony Boselli. I do have players asking me about wrestling quite a bit, which is cool," he said.

Boselli will be inducted into the 2022 NFL Hall of Fame.

Speaking about Boselli, who does commentary for NFL games, Khan said, "That's an interesting idea. Tony Boselli is great on the radio for the NFL and the Jaguars, he does a national broadcast and the Jaguars games. He would definitely be a great commentator. That's a good idea."

AEW will be in Jacksonville on Wednesday for AEW Dynamite. Fightful will have live coverage of the event beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
