The AEW/IMPACT era has begun.
Tonight's episode of IMPACT saw plenty of crossover moments from last week's episode of AEW Dynamite, with the cold open being highlights of Kenny Omega's AEW World Title win over Jon Moxley. IMPACT executive Don Callis played a role in the match and ran away with Omega at the end of last week's Dynamite.
Highlights of the match between Omega and Moxley aired during IMPACT and in a surprise reveal, AEW President Tony Khan and AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone appeared during the show via paid ad. Khan said he could have stopped Omega's IMPACT appearance by filing an injunction or telling him he is in breach of his contract.
However, Khan said he figured the paid ad and promoting AEW on IMPACT Wrestling's show would help the bottom line and even invited Omega and Callis to the December 9 episode of Dynamite. Even more so, Khan speculated on the possibility that he may just outright buy IMPACT given that he already has investments in Nashville.
