Tony Khan says Better Than You Bay Bay are selling a lot of merchandise.
In recent months, AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole, collectively known as Better Than You Bay Bay, have formed a dynamic friendship. The bond between the Brochachos led them to AEW All In, where they beat Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship. In the main event, MJF defeated Cole to retain the world title, but they hugged it out.
Their friendship is still going strong, and MJF has shown a babyface side as he has been calling himself the fans' scumbag. The two stars are set to defend the gold against The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) at AEW WrestleDream.
During the AEW WrestleDream media call, Tony Khan commented on MJF's recent run and highlighted the strong sales of Better Than You Baby Bay's merchandise.
"You don’t have to hate him anymore because ‘he’s our scumbag.’ That’s something that has really been embraced by the fans and it’s shown because Better Than You Bay Bay have sold an ungodly amount of merchandise and they continue to rack up that merch money for us, which is awesome. They get these massive reactions and its befitting of a top star and, in this case, a fan favorite," Khan said.
Khan also said that Adam Cole's status for AEW WrestleDream will be addressed on the September 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
