Tony Khan Confirms AEW Trading Cards Are Coming, Did Have His Head Scanned For Potential Figure

AEW continues to expand its reach in the collectibles market.

AEW President Tony Khan made an appearance on the Major Wrestling Figure podcast with Matt Cardona and Brian Myers. During their discussion, which largely centered around figures, the trio brought up trading cards. Khan recalled looking at the Beckett catalog when he was younger to find out the value of his cards.

Myers mentioned that AEW should get into trading cards and Khan said, "It is the move, it's happening. We're gonna do it."

Khan didn't provide further details on the deal.

He did note that WCW trading cards can be seen floating around backstage at AEW events, especially when former WCW wrestlers have shown up to do guest appearances.

Elsewhere during the interview, Khan confirmed that his head was scanned for a potential action figure. He did note that he "didn't want to do it" and sounded hesitant to do his own figure. Khan has previously said that he doesn't want to be an on-screen character in AEW.

AEW celebrated the in-store release of its Unrivaled figure series this week as the first wave hit Walmart stores on Monday. Figures are also available online through Ringside Collectibles.
