Tony Khan provides a little more insight into the new AEW set.
AEW has already unveiled some production changes with a new commercial showing a different color scheme airing to promote AEW Dynamite and new graphics on social media. The company is set to unveil a new set and other production changes on the January 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Speaking to Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, AEW President Tony Khan was asked if he could provide any more insight into the new design.
"It's a sports-based presentation and that's what we always go for. It's a great pro wrestling show and we wanted to change the set to reflect a new era, and I think it's going to be a great look. It's a great set. It's still going to be the same great wrestling with new matches and new stories and a lot to look forward to," he said before plugging AEW Dynamite.
When asked if the new set and design would carry over to pay-per-views such as AEW Revolution, Khan replied, "I think [it] may, but Revolution traditionally has its own color scheme. Traditionally, we've had that kind of green futuristic look that will actually flow really well with a set and design we have now. It's set up for those kind of color changes. With that grid matrix we have now, it's very consistent, and more similar to Revolution than anything else we have."
Fightful Select has more details on the changes that will and won't be made when AEW shows off its new production on January 4.
