Tony Khan feels good about the ending of All Out.
On Sunday, September 5, AEW will present the latest installment of their annual 'All Out' event. The show features matches such as Kenny Omega versus Christian Cage for the AEW World Championship and Darby Allin taking on CM Punk, who is making his return to the ring seven years after leaving WWE.
Appearing on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, the AEW Owner said that he has a good idea of the match order, but notes that it's not uncommon for one or two things to change as the show approaches. Additionally, when asked what would be closing the show - online speculation has been between the AEW Title match and CM Punk/Allin - Tony said he feels better than ever about the main event, but doesn't want to tip off which way he is leaning.
"I have a pretty good idea what the match order is but there are often changes. It's rare that there's not one or two things that flip around as we get closer.
I don't want to say which way I'm leaning right now but I've been leaning in a direction a long time and I feel better about it than I ever have," Khan said.
Tony continued to play coy, saying that his answer might not mean what people think it does. That said, he does concede that it will likely be one of the two aforementioned matches that will go on last. Here are his full remarks:
"I don't know if it is an answer. That may not mean what you think it does. But there's a lot of things that it could mean, but I feel good about what's going to close the show.
Yeah, those are all good viable options [Omega/Cage and Punk/Allin] and I think you're probably right that it will be one of those."
