The Cruiserweight Title situation heading into Stomping Grounds has been clarified.
The WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese was made aware several weeks ago that he was defending his title at WWE's Stomping Grounds pay-per-view on June 23rd. On the latest edition of 205 Live, it was made official that Tony Nese will be putting his title on the line in a Triple-Threat match against Drew Gulak and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa.

Gulak and Tozawa earned their respective title shots after they pinned each other in a #1 Contender's match in-which both of their shoulders were pinned to the mat. A decision regarding Nese's Stomping Grounds opponent was soon to be made and that final decision was to have "The Premiere Athlete" defend the title in a Triple-Threat match.
