Trey Miguel On Saraya Also Using Green Spray Paint In AEW: It Means We're Doing Something Right

Trey Miguel reflects on Saraya, Toni Storm, and Ruby Soho using green spray paint in AEW at the same time he is using the same gimmick in IMPACT.

Nothing in wrestling is genuinely original. All popular storylines and maneuvers will eventually cycle through the years. Sometimes, however, similar gimmicks will run concurrently in different promotions.

When Trey Miguel turned heel in IMPACT Wrestling, he began using green spray paint to tag his opponents and even the IMPACT X-Division Title. When Saraya and Toni Storm turned the heel in All Elite Wrestling, they also began spray painting their enemies with green paint.

Speaking about the gimmick overlap with Tru Heel Heat Wrestling's SP3, Miguel noted that he doesn't hold a grudge over it, but he does wish that the gimmick wasn't being done exactly at the same time as him.

"It was weird to see, I'm not sour about it, and I'm not, anything in wrestling belongs to anybody. These are just tools to get yourself from points A to B. And I just wish it wasn't chosen to be done at the same time. Literally, I don't have a gripe about it, but at the same time, it's very cool to know that someone wants to do what you're doing."

"When I sit back and think about it, it's like ok, that means we're doing something right. Can't be mad about that."

Most recently, Miguel managed to defeat Lince Dorado to retain his IMPACT X-Division Championship at IMPACT Sacrifice 2023.
