Trick Williams defeated Pete Dunne to earn a shot at the NXT Championship on October 1st.
Williams was able to outlast Dunne in a Last Man Standing match on the September 10th episode of NXT.
The finish saw both men go crashing through tables after a russian leg sweep off the platform in the audience. Both men were counted down, but Williams managed to make it to his feet. As he stood, Williams back body dropped NXT Champion Ethan Page through the announce table.
