Trick Williams elaborates on feelings he expressed during the December 10 episode of WWE NXT.
Trick Williams is tired of being disrespected. He said as much to Eddy Thorpe on December 10 after Thorpe said that Williams wouldn't have lasted in the Japanese dojos that he came through. Now, Willaims is expressing his frustration with how the traditions of the wrestling industry can lead to the belief that newcomers are soft.
Trick Williams said on Busted Open After Dark that folks shouldn't be mistaken, he's a grown-ass man and he's tired of being disrespected.
"I’m sick of being disrespected. I came into the business and they tell me to shake everybody’s hand. They tell me, ‘Pay your dues. Show respect.’ The minute you shake everybody’s hand, the minute you’re nice and have a smile on your face, they think you’re soft and they can walk straight over you. Don’t get it twisted. I’m a grown-ass man and I’ve been through a lot to get here. People don’t respect my journey and I don’t understand that, but I have no problem lining up against any man and showing them what I’m about. Win, lose, or draw, it’s not about that. I’m going to stand up for what I believe."
He will get the chance to shut Eddy Thorpe down on December 17 when NXT comes to Lowell, Massachusetts and Thorpe gets his long-awaited NXT Title opportunity. Check out the full card for the event here.
One person who is a big supporter of Trick Williams is Eric Bischoff. Read Bischoff's comments on Williams here.
