Triple H Agrees To Let Randy Orton Face Kevin Owens At WWE Crown Jewel 2024

WWE continues to load up the card for WWE Crown Jewel.

Randy Orton came to the ring to kick off the October 25th episode of WWE SmackDown. On his way to the ring, he confronted Triple H backstage. When he came to the ring, he said that he was doing everything he could to get his hands on Kevin Owens, but Nick Aldis said that he couldn't make that happen because the decision was from above him.

Triple H said that he was not protecting Owens, he was trying to protect Orton. He noted that Owens trusted Orton, and in Kevin's mind, he and Randy turned on him. Triple H said that there was something disconnected with Owens, and he did not want to put Orton in the ring with him. He noted that Orton had just come back from a severe back injury, and he did not want to see Randy go back on the shelf.

Orton responded that he did not want Paul Levesque to come to the ring, he wanted Triple H. He recalled how vicious Triple H was back in the day and questioned what he would do if he was in his shoes. Orton said that he knew what was at stake, and if Triple H was in his shoes, he would handle his business in the ring. He begged Triple H to give him Owens at WWE Crown Jewel, and Triple H agreed to book the match. He then encouraged Orton to protect himself at all times.

Owens previously posted a video on social media ahead of the October 18th episode of WWE SmackDown and stated that he was not sure when he would return to WWE after he felt that the company tried to silence him.
