Triple H says it was a long time coming.
On the October 25th episode of WWE SmackDown, the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) defeated Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. The title match marked their third time competing in a WWE ring; they debuted on the October 18th episode and went on to defeat #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) earlier in the night on October 25th.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H then took to Twitter/X and shared a picture he took with the Motor City Machine Guns after their win. He noted that, on one hand, the victory was a long time coming, but on the other hand, they were already champions just three matches into their WWE careers. Triple H ended the message by congratulating Sabin and Shelley.
On one hand… a long time coming.

On the other hand… three matches in @WWE, and they’re already champions.
