Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Shane McMahon attended Linda McMahon's Senate confirmation hearing for the position of Secretary of Education in Donald Trump's presidential cabinet.
WWE's Head of CreativeTriple H was seated directly behind McMahon, with Stephanie McMahon to his right and Shane McMahon to his left.
Linda McMahon then fielded questions from the Senate HELP Committee about, among other things, Donald Trump's plans to dismantle the Department of Education. Wisconsin senator Tammy Baldwin also brought up the lawsuit that was filed against WWE, Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, and TKO on behalf of "Ring Boys," who survived sexual abuse. Still, McMahon was not asked any questions directly about the ongoing lawsuit.
Vince McMahon was not present. An attorney for Linda McMahon recently confirmed that they are separated.
Former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis in January 2024, accusing McMahon of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. The lawsuit was paused for six months in mid-2024 as federal investigators gathered information. The lawsuit resumed in December 2024 and is still active. Linda McMahon was the head of the Small Business Administration during the first Trump Administration. She also ran his America First Super PAC during his reelection bid.
Donald Trump took part in WrestleMania 23, his Trump Plaza venues hosted WrestleMania IV and WrestleMania V, and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
