Triple H is confident NXT is the best.
Saturday was NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 which falls on the same weekend as WWE SummerSlam. Takeover events have become some of the most liked product that WWE has produced recently and in April there will be another NXT Takeover in the New York area as WrestleMania 35 comes to East Rutherford, New Jersey.
After Saturday's Takeover event, Triple H held a conference call and was asked about what WWE will bring to the table for the NXT show on WrestleMania 35 weekend.
"I put on the best event I can...it's not like I'm trying to step back ever and say 'maybe I'll hold that back and don't give it to (the fans)' To me this is about: every time you get a chance to get at the plate, you swing for the fences," said Triple H.
A lot of professional wrestling organizations have made annual trips to areas WrestleManias are being held to host their own events. The day before WrestleMania 35 and the same night as a Takeover event, NJPW and ROH will be hosting G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden.
Although he didn't mention the G1 Supercard, Triple H said he does not care who comes to the New York area for WrestleMania weekend because NXT has the best wrestling product.
"I'm confident in this brand. I don't care who tries to run against, it doesn't matter to me. I'll put this brand up against anything in the world. I'd put these athletes up against anything in the world," said Triple H.
Two weeks ago, ROH General Manager Greg Gilleland said he was not afraid to go head-to-head with NXT because there will be enough wrestling fans in the area to fill both venues.
