The first match for WWE Evolution has been set.

WWE announced that current Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss will take on Hall of Famer Trish Stratus at the historic event.

Bliss hinted at a possible match with Stratus in a recent interview with Hollywood Life.

"I would love to be in the ring with Trish or Lita or anyone from the past. I wasn’t able to have that opportunity at the Women’s Royal Rumble because I was holding the title at the time. So, obviously being the champ, you can’t be in the Royal Rumble. If I could be in the ring with someone from the Royal Rumble that would be awesome to have that opportunity."

The two competitors appeared together on an episode of Table For 3 earlier this year.

Stratus, a seven time women's champion, came out of retirement earlier this year when she competed in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble. She has not wrestled a one-on-one bout since March 2011 when she squared off with Vickie Guerrero in a No Disqualification match.

Bliss will be in action this Sunday at SummerSlam when she defends her Raw Women's Championship against Ronda Rousey.

WWE Evolution takes place on Oct. 28.
