Tyler Bate finally won the title he's been carrying for almost a month.
On the September 1 episode of NXT UK, Tyler Bate won the NXT UK Championship when he defeated Trent Seven in the finals of the tournament for the vacant title.
Bate hit the Tyler Driver for the victory.
The match was taped on July 7 after Ilja Dragunov vacated the title due to injury. Bate appeared on the August 16 episode of NXT holding the NXT UK Championship to confront NXT Champion Bron Breakker.

Bate has carried the title on subsequent episodes of NXT television as he's set to clash in a unification bout against Breakker at NXT Worlds Collide.
The September 1 episode of NXT UK marks the final episode of NXT UK for the foreseeable future as the brand is going on hiatus before the launch of NXT Europe in 2023.
