The Undertaker says that he and Shawn Michaels only nailed the Moonsault into the Tombstone finish they executed at WrestleMania 25 on the event day.
The match between Undertaker and Shawn Michaels at WWE WrestleMania 25 is considered one of the best matches of all time. The match sees Shawn Michaels come within inches of defeating Undertaker on several occasions until he makes a mistake and goes for a Moonsault only for the Undertaker to catch him and nail him with a second Tombstone Piledriver, securing the win and his 17th consecutive victory at WrestleMania.
Undertaker revealed during a recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast that he and Shawn tried to practice the finish the day before WrestleMania and they couldn't quite nail it precisely on three separate tries. Ultimately, they decided to forget about practicing it and just do it in the moment, and it went off without a hitch.
"Only did it once. We practiced it and we could never get it. We just said, 'Fuck it, we'll do it tomorrow, and we hit it. We tried it three times the night before, I missed him every time. We do it in the show and [it was] perfect."
That match would be the first of two matches Undertaker would have with Shawn Michaels at WWE WrestleMania. They would have their rematch the next year and it would be the last match of Shawn Michaels' full-time career.
Undertaker hasn't wrestled since WrestleMania 36 but he did make an appearance at WWE WrestleMania XL, Chokeslamming The Rock in order to help Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns and become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
Now that WWE's in the new Triple H era, fans can read why Undertaker thinks it's a little too calm with Triple H at the helm of WWE.
