The Undertaker Looks Back On Match With Goldberg, ‘I Stunk The Joint Up’

The Undertaker reflects on his bout with Goldberg.

Fans were rather excited heading into WWE Super ShowDown in 2019, as The Undertaker was set to take on Goldberg in a dream match.

Seth Rollins: I Want The Best For Roman Reigns, I Want The Worst For CM Punk

The match seemingly ended up being a nightmare for everyone involved, with some fans even calling it one of the worst matches in WWE history.

On a recent episode of Six Feet Under, Justin Danger Nunley recalled not wanting to bring up the match when Goldberg was hanging out with Undertaker. In response, Undertaker once again recalled the match, acknowledging that they stunk up the joint.

"He’s wound a little tight sometimes. Good dude, though. He was kind of thrust into something you can’t blame him for. They created him and it was a huge deal. That Saudi thing was a little ugly. My mindset going into the whole thing was like, at this point in my career, how often do you get to work with somebody that you’ve never (worked with)? I’ve worked with everybody for the last 30-plus years, but I never worked with Bill. Singles match, that’s the only one, and I stunk the joint up. It was 98 degrees, nine at night, outside. You could chew the air it was so thick. It was just one of those things. There’s not any humidity. Just heat. It was bad. At that time of night, too, whew."

Goldberg is set to have his retirement match in 2025.

Elsewhere in the interview, Undertaker said that he believes Shawn Michaels will induct Triple H into the WWE Hall Of Fame in April. Check out his full comments on the subject here.
