WrestleMania battle royal matches are hardly anything new, as they've happened as far back as WrestleMania 2, and picked up throughout the 2000s as a means to get everyone on the card for the biggest show of the year. In 2014, WWE made the match an annual happening in an effort to add stakes to the contest.
Since its inception, the match has been won by the likes of Cesaro, The Big Show, a debuting Baron Corbin, as well as Mojo Rawley with the help of NFL star Rob Gronkowski.
