From the filing:

"Mr. McMahon now asks the Court for a limited lifting of the stay to permit the filing and adjudication of his Motion to Enforce the Court’s Stay Order."

On May 30, Grant agreed to pause the lawsuit for six months while the federal investigation continued against McMahon.

On July 16th, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and John Pollock of POST Wrestling reported that lawyers for former WWE employee Janel Grant have filed a pre-action discovery petition against Dr. Carlon Colker and his clinic, Peak Wellness, Inc. Grant claims that she was sent to the clinic under the direction of Vince McMahon in November 2019 and received treatments that weren't disclosed to her, including pills and I.V. infusions.

According to McMahon, Grant violated the federal stay order by seeking discovery against Dr. Colker and Peak Wellness.

McMahon's lawyer, Jessica Taub Rosenberg, issued the following statement to Wrestlenomics:

"Today’s motion is in response to Ms. Grant’s flagrant violation of the federal Stay Order. After telling the Federal Court that she would pause her lawsuit, Ms. Grant immediately violated the Stay Order seeking one-sided discovery for her own benefit. Her lawyer told the media that the information sought in the new Connecticut state action is ‘to assist in our claims in the federal action.’ We are asking the federal Court to ensure that Plaintiff abides by the Court’s order and if she does not that civil contempt and financial sanctions may result."

It was reported in February by the Wall Street Journal that McMahon was under federal investigation for sexual assault and sex trafficking. Grant filed her lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and Laurinaitis on January 25.
