Wardlow has one goal in mind.
The 'War Daddy' appeared on the October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite and once again made quick work of his opponent, as he won his match against Ryan Nemeth via referee stoppage.
After the match, Tony Schiavone asked Wardlow what exactly he is back for in AEW. Wardlow flashed his wrist tape to the camera, which featured the initials of the AEW World Champion himself, MJF.

After a multi-year partnership in All Elite Wrestling, MJF and Wardlow feuded in the early months of 2022. Wardlow went on to defeat MJF at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in 2022, which prompted MJF's absence from the company until he returned later that year.
