The fans wanted to Warhorse answer the open challenge of Cody for the AEW TNT Championship and the fans are getting Warhorse.
On Wednesday's Dynamite, Warhorse will step into the ring against Cody. The match came about thanks to online support behind Warhorse and teasing from fans who called Cody a "coward" for not giving Warhorse a shot at the belt.
“None of this happens without my fans,” Warhorse told Sports Illustrated. “People kept getting louder and louder, and they kept blowing up Cody about the match. Them getting riled up and fired up got me on television. I’ve treated everything I did like territory wrestling would treat it,” said Parnell. “People got over in the territories by cutting promos. They had TV, I have the internet.”
On the Independent scene, Warhorse is known for ruling ass and when he appears on Dynamite, he wants to rule Cody's ass on the mic and in the ring.
“I’ll be head banging like nobody’s business on TNT,” he said. “People are going to see independent wrestling is alive and well. That’s the most important part of this match to me. Indie wrestling is going to rise to the occasion. I’ll be looking for a mic as soon as I walk in the building. My personality, that is how I have a connection with the fans. And I’ve got a lot to say.”
Warhorse also promises to "beat the ever-living shit out of Cody Rhodes" on Wednesday.
Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
