Will Ospreay Doing Okay After Injury Scare; Pulled From NJPW Power Struggle Tour To Rest

Will Ospreay is finally taking time to himself.

At a Revolution Pro/NJPW event on Sunday, Ospreay landed wrong on a pele kick in a bout against Chris Ridgeway. The two quickly went to the finish, which was Ridgeway winning by choke submission. The injury was rib, not neck, related. After the bout, Ospreay was helped out of the ring by medics and taken backstage, where an ambulance was waiting.

Early Monday morning, Ospreay provided fans with an update on his condition.

Ospreay's style has had many fans worry about his long-term health over the past couple of years. At 25 years old, he should have plenty of time left in the wrestling business, but there are concerns about his neck holding up with the amount of crazy bumps he takes on a match-to-match basis.

Ospreay is moving up to the heavyweight division in NJPW, which should help preserve his body a bit as he won't have to take quite as many risks that junior heavyweights typically take in Japan. He is still scheduled to face Taichi at NJPW Power Struggle on Nov. 3

However, NJPW announced that Ospreay has been pulled from the Road To Power Struggle tour leading up to the Nov. 3 event.
