Will Ospreay Thinks It Bothers Seth Rollins That The IWGP Junior Title Means More Than Universal Title

Will Ospreay talks about he and Seth Rollins' back and forth on Twitter.

WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins took to social media before WWE's Stomping Grounds pay-per-view and declared that the sports-entertainment company has the best professional wrestling in the world which was met with numerous responses from fans and fellow wrestlers. Rollins then began to engage in a back and forth with the current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay and Rollins noted that WWE has a better version of Will Ospreay in the form of the new United States Champion Ricochet.

Rikishi: I Think Bronson Reed Is A Good Addition To The Bloodline

The two continued their back and forth on social media last night with Ospreay noting that he has wrestled more matches this year than Seth Rollins and Ospreay also joined Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez and dove into the topic of he and Seth Rollins' Twitter feud. Ospreay did make mention that he does not think there's anything malicious behind the tweets but does feel that it bothers Seth that the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title means more than the Universal Title.

“Right, it’s a bit of banter isn’t it? I don’t think it’s anything malicious behind it at all. I just feel like the question he asked is, ‘Find me someone alive that does the same type of schedule I do, that can do what I can do’. All I just said was, ‘I’m alive’. I am, I’m very much alive and the things that make me laugh more about it is he brought in Ricochet to try and tear me down." Ospreay said. "It’s like you brought in another person to… you don’t have to -- you just have to be like, ‘Oh okay, maybe we can have a match one day’ but I think the thing is, maybe it just gets under his skin that my championship, my Junior Championship means more than his Universal Championship. I don’t know. Who knows? It’s factual.” Ospreay laughed.

Will Ospreay is set to embark on his run in the G1 Climax 29 tournament and Seth Rollins is gearing up to defend his Universal Title in a Mixed Tag match at Extreme Rules where both his title and Becky Lynch's RAW Women's Title will be on the line.
