WWE is making a slight change in regards to how they are advertising the upcoming Extreme Rules event.
In an article previewing the upcoming WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and challenger Dolph Ziggler on WWE.com, the article called the show "WWE Extreme Rules: The Horror Show" on more than one occasion.
WWE has yet to acknowledge the "The Horror Show" tag in the Extreme Rules pay-per-view name. The show is taking place on July 19. Below is the current match lineup for the event as of this writing:
WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
Raw Women's Championship: Asuka (c) vs. Sasha Banks
This isn't the first time WWE has made a minor alteration to an already existing pay-per-view name. Back in 2014, the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view was called "TLC: Tables, Ladders, Chairs... and Stairs" to emphasize a stairs match between The Big Show and Erick Rowan. The show would return to its original name in subsequent years.
Fightful will have live coverage of Extreme Rules: The Horror Show.
