Pete Dunne and Jey Uso advance to the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament.
On the August 26 edition of WWE Raw, two triple threat qualifying matches were held to determine two entrants into an upcoming four-way match that will crown the number one contender to the Intercontinental Championship, which is held by Bron Breakker.
In the first bout, Jey Uso was able to knock off Kofi Kingston and Karrion Kross. Uso picked up the win after nailing Kross with a spear and his signature splash.

Later in the show, the second tournament match saw The Miz face Pete Dunne, and Xavier Woods battle it out in a hard-fought bout. The Miz nearly scored the win with a Skull-Crushing on Woods, but Dunne shoved him off. Dunne then locked The Miz in a crossface, but Woods broke it up. Woods hit the Limit Break elbow on The Miz, but Dunne pulled the referee out of the ring. Dunne took Woods out with a kick and hit the Bitter End on The Miz for the win.
