WWE's upcoming premium live event in Wales has broken a company record, with more fans registering for pre-sale tickets than any event in history, including WrestleMania.
WWE announced the upcoming stadium show, which is for Saturday, September 3 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, on Monday, April 11, 2022, and as first reported by The Daily Star, more than 59,000 people pre-registered for tickets in the first 24 hours.
This show is the first stadium event held in the United Kingdom since SummerSlam 1992, which was held in London inside Wembley Stadium.
With no details actually known about the event as of yet, the unnamed show has already proven one thing, WWE fans in the United Kingdom are certainly passionate. Drew McIntyre, who had been championing the idea of WWE hosting a stadium show in the United Kingdom once he became WWE champion at WrestleMania 36, May no longer have the title, but he is excited about the upcoming show as well.
2 years ago I became WWE Champion and made it my mission to bring a major show to the UK…
