Gunther retained the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WWE Survivor Series, defeating Damian Priest in the co-main event.
Finn Balor got involved in the match, hitting a double foot stomp off the steps and onto Priest, who was on the outside after falling off the top rope. Gunther then kicked Balor in the face.
Back in the ring, Gunther hit a powerbomb followed by a series of elbows before locking Priest in a sleeper hold. Priest had his arm in to defend the choke, but his arm was worked over throughout the match, including a lengthy kimura hold.
