Natalya challenged Candice LeRae for the gold.
Candice LeRae defended the WWE Women’s Speed Championship against Natalya on the January 8th episode of WWE Speed. Natalya went for the Sharpshooter early on, but LeRae evaded it. Natalya controlled the action in the opening minutes, but LeRae gained the upper hand and sent Natalya into the steel steps. LeRae grounded Natalya and maintained the advantage.
Natalya rallied, but LeRae sent her into the ring post. She continued to ground Natalya. Natalya persevered and slammed LeRae. Natalya evaded the Lionsault and locked in the Sharpshooter, but the time limit expired, so LeRae retained the title.
