The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship is on its way back.
After the titles were vacated by Sasha Banks and Naomi following their walkout on Monday, May 16, 2022. WWE had said that they would be bringing the belts back by way of a tournament. Now, WWE has finally announced win their tournament will begin.
On Friday, August 5, 2022, WWE announced that the tournament will begin on Monday, August 8.

As of now, no participants have been named. Recently, Bayley, one of the inaugural champs, stated that she wanted to see the belts return in a big way. Read her comments here.
As of now, Sasha Banks and Naomi are still both under contract with WWE. There were reports that they were removed from the internal WWE roster in the weeks that followed their walkout, but nothing was ever made official and neither woman has commented publicly on the walkout.
