Semifinals set in NJPW G1 Climax 34.
Yota Tsuji and Shingo Takagi have advanced to the semifinals of the New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 34 tournament.
Tsuji will face David Finlay in his semifinal matchup while Shingo will battle Zack Sabre Jr. The semifinals take place on Saturday, August 17.
Tsuji advanced by defeating Konosuke Takeshita in the quarterfinals. Tsuji finished off Takeshita with the Gene Blaster. In the other quarterfinal matchup, Shingo bested Great O Khan with Last of the Dragon.
During the round robin portion of the tournament, Shingo defeated ZSJ on night nine in their A Block matchup. In B Block, Shingo bested Finlay on night two of the tournament.
