The Young Bucks Comment On Terry Funk And Bray Wyatt Passing Away, Dedicate AEW All In To Them

The Young Bucks dedicated AEW All In to Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk.

The wrestling world lost two greats in a short span of time, as WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk passed away on August 23, and Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on August 24. The combination loomed large ahead of AEW All In on August 27, as both men were renowned and loved in the wrestling world.

On the latest edition of Being The Elite, which was released on August 28, the Young Bucks chronicled their trip to London ahead of AEW All In. Matt noted that it had been a rough few days, as Funk and Wyatt passed away. He and Nick recalled how they had to let other talent know during the trip over to London.

Matt Jackson: It’s been a rough 48 hours. Wednesday, we lost Terry Funk. That destroyed me. One of my all-time favorites. We were on the plane with a lot of the boys from Atlanta to London, and Nick whispers to me, and I didn’t want to believe it at first, he says, ‘Bray Wyatt passed.’ I said, ‘What?’ You never believe it when you first hear it.

Nick Jackson: I had to text a bunch of the guys.

MJ: [We] just started spreading the word on the plane, and everybody started finding out. It’s so sad. 36.

NJ: Way too young.

Matt went on to note that Wyatt's passing was heartbreaking, and he said a prayer for both Wyatt and Funk. Matt and Nick noted that they were dedicating All In weekend to Wyatt and Funk.

MJ: Just breaks my heart. Just makes you think about everything, your own mortality. I just feel for his family. I said a prayer for him, I said a prayer for him. I said a prayer for The Funker. It’s awful, awful news to have to hear. We are here in London now, and All In weekend.

NJ: We will dedicate this weekend to the fallen.

MJ: Yeah, to The Funker and to Bray. This is for you, boys.

At AEW All In, the Young Bucks unsuccessfully challenged FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
