The first match between the two teams took place at the Full Gear pay-per-view in 2020, where the Young Bucks came out on top. The second bout between the two teams was won by FTR during a April 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite, as that match was a double championship match for both the ROH & AAA World Tag Team Championships.
This will be the first time that the Young Bucks have competed in a tag team match on AEW pay-per-view since Double Or Nothing 2022, where they lost to The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy).
