Zelina Vega talks to Busted Open Radio.
The partnership between Zelina Vega and Andrade has turned the career of Andrade around in a big way. Going nowhere in NXT, Andrade was whipped into shape by Vega, propelling him to the NXT Title and a current main roster run that included an intergender bout against WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch on last night's Raw.
Speaking to Busted Open Radio, Zelina discussed her relationship with Andrade.
"It was like lightning struck. It was perfect. Everything flowed, there was no weirdness, nothing. It's like we were made for each other," said Vega. "One thing I admire about him is how much he cares and how hard he works. People can see him and say, 'Oh he's tranquilo, he's chill and cool.' But he's one of the hardest working people you'll ever know. He's putting countless hours into the gym and wrestling. Nobody can touch him."
Unfortunately for Andrade and Vega, they were defeated by Rollins and Lynch on Raw.
When asked about lessons she has learned while being in WWE, Vega said, "The biggest lesson is finding your way to stand out. Whatever it is that you do, take that and dial it up to 10. For me, people won't necessarily think, 'she's the best wrestler in the world.' But I also can do what others can't. The second I get on the mic, that's one thing you can't match with me. Whenever I accompany Andrade to the ring, I make sure that I stand out and that there's a moment that you remember."
Vega and Andrade were on last night's Raw as part of the Wild Card Rule as they are technically part of the SmackDown roster. As of now, they are not scheduled to appear at Sunday's WWE Extreme Rules event.
