Zilla Fatu is trying to make his own name, separate from his family legacy.
Right now, being an Anoa'i, a Fatu, or having any connection to the Bloodline feels like a golden ticket to the top of WWE. The Bloodline story, anchored by Roman Reigns, has seen the Samoan Dynasty take center stage in the wrestling world. Zilla Fatu, son of Umaga, is just beginning his wrestling journey. While he knows a main stage is his ultimate goal, he says he's in no rush to get there.
Speaking on The Bridge to Kyle Albertson and Wave Chapelle of "The Show on Riverwest Radio," Fatu explained that his goal is to continue making his own mark and have his legacy separate from his family within the next five years.
My long-term goals? Obviously, getting some more gold. I'm not in no rush to really get anywhere or sign anywhere. I'm literally just trying to figure out who I am, and I'm trying to separate [from the broader legacy of his family]. So I think, I think five years from now, my name will be separated from my family. I just want to have people just [focus] on Zilla Fatu. That's it. I'll have a lot of accomplishments from then, and they can't deny that. So, yes, that's my goal."
One goal that Zilla likely won't be accomplishing with that timetable is a potential match against John Cena, who is retiring at the end of this year.
Booker T has said that helping Zilla Fatu get to WWE is one of his goals. Learn more here.
