Don West, Former ESPN Anchor Set To Call Impact Slammiversary, Impact Couldn't Get Tenay

With multiple announcers tied up in matches at July 2's Slammiversary, Impact is bringing back a familiar voice.

Impact Wrestling released a video of Jeff Jarrett calling in to Don Wests' 560 KPQ radio show and offering him a spot in the commentary booth for the Slammiversary show.  Jeremy Borash and Josh Matthews are featured in a match against one another.

Jarrett mentioned that West would be on color commentary for the duration of the show, and they hadn't decided on a play-by-play commentator as of yet. Fightful.com has learned that Impact has former ESPN anchor Robert Flores to handle play-by-play duties for the show in a three man booth that will also feature "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero. Impact hoped to bring back Mike Tenay for the show, as well, but couldn't make it happen.

It's worth noting that many employees and production were not clued in on the move.
