Exclusive: TNA Employees And Talent Want Corgan To Own Company

Billy Corgan has being trying his hardest to gain full ownership over TNA, and it would appear he has the support of the locker room.

Fightful.com spoke with several names, both on-camera and off about the turmoil surrounding the TNA ownership situation. As previously reported, Billy Corgan is making a play for full ownership of the company, while WWE has made a bid due to their interest in the video library. Ring of Honor's parent company Sinclair Broadcasting has also made a bid, mostly due to TNA's television slots.

"It's just a mess in there with ownership stuff. Four different entities, all with different agendas. Billy Corgan is by far the best option," said one talent.

Another talent said that while they don't fear for their job personally if WWE or ROH take over, that sentiment has been expressed to them from some wrestlers.

It's worth noting that Dixie Carter is well liked backstage, but none of the half-dozen or so employees Fightful spoke to feel as if her retaining ownership is best for the company. It's said that Carter still owns about 70% of TNA. There also wasn't any concern that the company would have trouble paying for the upcoming Bound For Glory pay-per-view, or subsequent tapings, at least from the talent. From what we've heard, that could be a bigger problem, causing WWE or Sinclair to read enter the picture.

We were told as recently as a couple of months ago, TNA was still making new contract offers to hold on to some of their higher-end talent.

Fightful.com will provide full coverage and a live viewing party of the upcoming TNA Bound For Glory on October 2.

UPDATE 9/28: A major name backstage in TNA told Fightful that they had been told that when the time came for a sale, a lot of false info would come out in an attempt to undermine Corgan's attempt to buy TNA. Most everyone in the company is hoping that Corgan manages to get ownership.
