Kristina Williams Replaces Bruna Ellen At Bellator 201

Bruna Ellen has suffered an injury has has been pulled from Bellator 201, replacing her against Valerie Letourneau is going to be Kristina Williams.

The change was announced during the Bellator 200 broadcast on the Paramount Network.

Letourneau (9-6-0) is currently undefeated under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Kate Jackson by decision at Bellator 191. Letourneau has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Strawweight Title, losing to then champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 193. Letourneau has gone the distance in six of her last seven bouts, earning a record of 4-2-0 in those fights.

Williams (2-0-0) has spent her entire professional MMA career competing in Bellator MMA, defeating the duo of Heather Hardy and Emily Ducote. Williams competed just once as an amateur MMA fighter, which was a decision victory over Rachel Young at Legacy Fighting Alliance 9. Williams will also be competing on the televised portion of a Bellator MMA card for the third time in her career, but this is going to be the fighters first appearance on the Paramount Network.

Bellator 201 takes place on Friday, June 29 from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California with Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Alejandra Lara headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
