A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to the forthcoming UFC Fight Night Denver card as Maycee Barber is in action against Maia Stevenson.
The bout was announced during the Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 16 broadcast.
Barber (5-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over a year. Barber competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, defeating Jamie Colleen by third round TKO. Barber has seen just one of her five professional MMA bouts go the distance and that came against Mallory Martin at LFA 22.
Stevenson (6-5-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Polyana Viana at UFC Fight Night Belem. Stevenson is a longtime veteran of the Gladiator Challenge promotion, winning all five bouts that she fought at in the organization. Stevenson lost the first three bouts of her professional MMA career, with one of those defeats coming to fellow UFC fighter Danielle Taylor.
UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
